Is the app free?

Yes — downloading CSM Mate and the document management features are free.

Do I have to be a CSM Gdynia trainee to use the app?

No, the app is useful for any seafarer — it is simply most tightly integrated with the CSM Gdynia course environment.

Are my documents safe?

Yes. Only you have access to your documents — nobody else sees them. The connection to the app is secured and your data is stored on a proven, professional server. We do not share it with anyone.

How do the reminders about document expiry dates work?

Just fill in the document’s expiry date and the app will send a notification 6 months, 3 months and 1 month before it expires. You can also easily plan a renewal course for an expiring certificate.

Which devices does the app run on?

The CSM Mate app runs on smartphones with iOS (iPhone) or Android. Minimum requirements: iOS 14 or Android 8.0.

Does the app work without internet?

Yes — documents you have already saved are available offline. You need a connection to sync with the server and to book courses.
